How to Disable Startup Programs in Windows

Many of time you have to wait long when you start your PC. Many time the unwanted software run at startup and take lot of time and make your PC slow. The more software you installed on your PC more time it going to take to start .Many program start automatically on startup. So following are some method how to disable those program and speed up your PC

How to Disable Startup Program in Windows 7, Vista Or XP
Some program is better to start with windows such as firewall and anti-virus. But it’s all depend on you which program you going to disable at startup . Windows has provided a tool call MSConfig which allow to disable the program which you don’t need at startup. Which will make your slow pc run faster also.

NOTE: MSConfig also use to configure many other things so don’t changes other setting which you are not sure about.



·        Press Windows+R button for Run and type MSConfig and press Enter

·        Click on startup Tab. List of Startup Programs will be displayed
·        Click on the check box of program you want to disable uncheck the programs you don’t want at startup

·        And click on ok when you have make your choice. A dialog box will appear telling you to restart your computer. Click restart to immediately restart. If you are not ready to restart press Exit withoutRestart

How to Disable Startup program in Windows 8 or 8.1 Or 10
Windows 8, 8.1 or 10 made it very easy to disable startup program. Just open task manager just by hitting ALT+CTRL+DEL

·        Click on Startup tab and select the program you want to disable
·        If you are not able to view the option click on the “More detail”
·        And you can disable the program.

·        You need to restart your PC
